Just like how cross-pollination makes a species more resilient, we hope that through this inter-school event, students are able to generate more discourse and grow together for a better future.
To increase accessibility of resources and events to everyone
We are aware that not everyone has the same level of access to resources and events. Therefore, this fun yet meaningful festival will allow students to have a taste of the local environmental scene.
To create a platform for collaboration and garner support from the student population in schools
In EYC, we aim to build a society where youths have influence over the future they hold dearly, moving in solidarity with the broader shifts, movements and crises binding us all. In order to achieve the above, we hope that EYF can create an environmental space conducive for collective action, and collaboration, and as a way for students to see environmental issues in different lights,
To educate students about environmental issues and beyond
As youths, we will likely be living a large part of our lives embroiled in environmental issues like the climate crisis and biodiversity loss. It is hence ever more important for us to understand more about such issues and use our voices to speak up on the things we care for.
