As a participant of the programme, you will be paired with a mentor who has experience in advocating for environmental change in their respective institutions and who will guide you through our intentionally designed five-part journey.

You will be equipped with frameworks and tools to developing a project for the change you want to see in your community. You will also have the opportunity to pitch and pilot your project with the guidance of your mentor.

Kickstart your journey by getting to know your mentors, fellow participants, and getting comfortable with yourselves! We will be going on a physical learning journey to get up close and personal with each other and the issues around us. By the end of the session, participants will also be expected to have covered the first concept of Purpose in our PRIDE framework.

In our second session, participants will explore ways to break down the problem they have identified using a framework of empathy. Using the Read The Ground skillsets, we will be looking at various ways to identify our stakeholders and how to best understand them. Participants will come up with a plan on how to get in touch with various stakeholders and start connecting with them.

When moving people to action, we believe stories can be incredibly powerful. Here we reconnect with each other and re-ignite ourselves by learning how to craft our stories and use them to inspire others, calling more followers to our cause. In this intimate session, participants will share openly with each other and understand how to frame their stories to capture different audiences.

Now it is time to see our ideas culminate into one cohesive plan! Participants will be putting together their whole project and planning its delivery. This workshop will cover various proposal writing skills, working with team dynamics, keeping in mind the different contexts and environments that everyone is in.

In EYC’s Mentorship Programme, we understand every experience is a window for growth. This session will focus on the tools used to evaluate the progress of a team’s work, and how that evaluation can be pivotal in charting the path towards self-development.
